The project aims to empower men economically, socially, and emotionally by strengthening their livelihoods, promoting mental well-being, fostering peaceful family relationships, and encouraging active participation in community development.

Goal

Seva Kendra Siliguri (SKS), through the Men SHG project, aims to uplift these communities by improving their socio-economic conditions
Activities Conducted:
- Orientation on project ‘Men SHG” to the project staff
- Orientation on survey
- Shared project concept note to block and G.P. level office for the better linkage
- Conducted survey in the 10 selected villages
- Conducted awareness program on formation of Men SHG groups
- Formed 18 Men SHG groups in 10 villages
- Linked 14 Men SHG groups with Banks
- 14 Men SHG group started opening bank accounts
- Conducted 3 capacity building training on Bookkeeping
- Conducted 3 mushroom cultivation
- Organized 2 exposure visit for Men SHG groups
